When I'm AloneWhen I’m Alone by Brian McMurray 3/30/2005When I'm Alone
When I’m alone in the dark the shadows attack my mind The eerie blue glow calls out to me, beckoning my demons To come out and play and torment my heart Trapped in this bondage, these chains of invisible wires attached to nerve endings Binding me to my torment Drawn like a moth to the flame I’m drawn back to my shame.
They say the spring of life washes one clean But it’s when one gets out and the dirt reappears How does one live in the world but stay in the stream? Is it possible, can it be done?
